The server does seem a bit slow tonight, from looking at the 'Who's Online' list it would seem that there was a huge surge of new researchers following the DNA documentary that was on BBC2 this evening.
Anyway, welcome to h2g2 and I hope that when things have calmed down a bit you can enjoy reading and posting to the guide. One of the guide's volunteer greeters and helpers, an ACE, will visit you soon to officially welcome you and give you useful hints and help but I though I'd pop in and say 'Hi', I've brought you an
