Well.... I have found many magazines listed in the Little Magazines directory that I want to send some material to. My problem is, I haven't been able to uncover any standard guidelines of HOW to submit. Surely they want and deserve a query, but I want to feel confident about what I send off.
I may find out the best solution after I do some reading in the Novel and Short Story Writer's Market that I bought yesterday.
I imagine each magazine's a bit different. I suppose I COULD just send for their guidelines...

You could check their websites. Most mags that accept sumissions have a link to their sobmission guidelines on th home page.

If I have time today, I'm going to buy a copy of a magazine for Denver published in Denver eight times a year... I think I can write a couple-few articles for them...
I want to submit to smaller magazines, as per the suggestion of my professor.... hopefully they have websites!!!
