How nice of you to answer!
Not many do, some people assume it's an automated greeting, but I can assure you I am flesh and blood!smiley - biggrin
How do you meet other researchers?
Click on the online list, then click on any name that takes your fancysmiley - winkeye
Then their page will open and you can post on it, by clicking on the "discuss this entry" button.
Post a title like "Hi there" and hopefully they will read it and reply before they go offline.
Another way is to use the "search" facility on top of every page.
Look for something you are interested in, e.g. Dinosaurs.
You will then have a page of entries, which are clickable links.
You can see who wrote or contributed to the entries of your interest.
Click on these names, you will be at their personal space.
Check to see they are still with us.
People come, people go.smiley - sadface
Another good place is:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Askh2g2
You can scroll down and see the titles of the things people are talking about.
Feel free to jump into any conversation going on, start your own, or refresh some old ones, that's always funsmiley - winkeye
You may like to state that you are a newcomer and looking for people to chat to.
There is always the Guardian Angels page too.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A467606
You can ask there for your own personal G.A.smiley - bigeyes

I wish you could see all my other pics, but I have nowhere to store themsmiley - sadface
We just had another meet-up, a couple of weeks ago.
We certainly have a good time when we get together.smiley - smiley
Maybe you could join us at a future one?
