My name is Feisor and I too am an ACE (Assistant Community Editor) at h2g2, (there are lots of us)
I just thought that I would pop in and, after a nice belly rub and , leave you some links that you might find helpful
The "Italics" (they are the people who run this place - so-called because their names are displayed in bold italics - God Bless 'Em) have left a message for newcomers at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Welcome-Newcomers
it's got a lot of the basic background and how-tos that you will need - a good place to start
If you want to explore try Sheas List of links
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A534953
or
Jeffs Welcome Page
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A579431
Both are great places to begin your journey . I am sure that you will love this community as much as we do There's lots of things to see, clubs to join and people to meet - please don't be shy - just jump right in - this is a friendly place. But be careful - it can become quite addictive - believe me I know
Enjoy!!
Have fun!!!
and above all DON'T PANIC!!!

Greeting, Feisor.
Thank you for your warm welcome. I must apologize for my tardy reply. I sent my mind on a brief vacation and forgot to ask someone to collect my mail... *shrug* Bad Wench~! hehe
I am impressed with your space. (I decided to drop by before replying) I must say I share your love of the anonymity of the net. It is refreshing to deal with people on such a different level.
Continue the great work. And don't be discouraged by those of us who don't respond right away. We are possibly scared or maybe just procrastinators.

I don't really worry about not getting a response - it just makes me appreciate so much more those responses that I do get I think that I wrote that after a late night welcoming lots of new researchers - so I can understand about the brain going on holidays
Thanks for your comment on my space - I am quite proud of it, as, when I started here, I knew nothing about HTML let alone Guide ML - but, by looking at other people's coding I picked it up bit by bit.
There's a Guide ML CLinic at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/GuideML-Clinic if you are interested, and you can view the codes by going to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpagexxxxx where XXXX is the user number, for instance, to view my codes go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/testuserpage38014 , then you can cut and paste is you like Just one thing though, it's probably nicer if you ask first, though you can take anything from my page without asking
Nice to hear from you - I hope that you are enjoying h2g2
