Cash Peters

Ever had one of those nights where you can't seem to get to sleep? I do on a regular basis, and to while away the many hours of darkness before the inevitable sleep I listen to Radio 5 Live's 'Up All Night'. Anyway, every Monday (at about 1:45am) there is this really amusing bloke that comes on and talks about American TV whose name is Cash Peters.
Actually, to be more precise he trys to talk about TV, but every week it ends up as an incredibly amusing slanging match between him, and the presenter whose name isn't important.
The reason why I feel I should include him in the journal is that having listened to him during my A' levels last year, I am now addicted to his slot on the show, which means that every monday I don't get to sleep until well after 2 am.
So if you are out there Cash, thanks for making insomnia bearable!

Kit Hill, Kernow (Cornwall)

I've just come back from said 'Kit Hill Country Park' in Cornwall, and I must say that although I was looking forward to the trip, I came back a little upset.
For those who don't know, Kit Hill is a tall hill on the edge of Cornwall, just outside Callington, and in previous years was a site of tin mining. When the mine was closed they kept the main chimney stacks and eventually the whole area was 'given' to Cornwall as a reminder of its former history.
Now I find that in the year 2001 the main stack is a rather picturesque Mobile 'phone mast, with many microwave transmitters bolted on to the brickwork.
So ask yourself... Can we allow this 'vandalism' of historical monuments to continue whilst people stop masts being placed on buildings? or will Snowdon, Nelsons column and the Giant Metal Prawn of Plymouth become the next masting points for the SMS junkies.
