Time to start training again, or just getting yourself a place? I don't know how you fit everything in!!

You sign up now but the event isn't until next May It is an over-subscribed event so the places fill up quickly and actually they announced the online sign-up was open while I was away for a week and all the online places are already gone. You can download a form and apply that way but those places go fairly quickly too, and then there is a pre-printed store form you can use - these places go much more slowly (this si how I got a place last year) because bizarrely, people who want to walk 26 miles around london can't be bothered to walk to a local shop to pick up a form
Actually I've decided that I'm not going to do the London one this year but am actually very tempted to do the half-marathon in Edinburgh in June. The long training walks took a long time to do and I think I'd rather do running events this year, but could do the half moon without extra training so that appeals - and always nice to visit a different city.
I am still incredibly tempted to do the Inca trail one in Peru!

That sounds really nice! If they have a few in different places I can see the attraction of doing a different city each time. Edinburgh is a beautiful place, but very hilly! Tires me out just wandering around up there.

I like Edinburgh, the hills will make the half more of a challenge, and i can visit the Zens to boot

Good enough reasons! Was hoping to get the Scotland this year, but it fell through. Didn't realise the Zen's had moved up there.

They moved to just outside Embra very recently. Ben is doing the moonwalk with me
They have the events in a few cities now - they do sunwalks in Newcastle, Bristol and Portsmouth so maybe I'll do one of those the year after - I really fancy one of the really far flung ones but don't have the kind of personality to keep chasing enough sponsor money! I get too embarrassed asking people for sponsorship...

Have you tried asking businesses? It's not so hard asking when it's not the money of the person you are talking to.

*files that idea away for a few year's time when the boys are old enough to be left under the 'care' of their father*
