Hi there Annette...
Amy: ear-deep in novels, poetics, and historical documents. Started conversation Jul 19, 2001
Welcome to h2g2! My name is Amy and I'm an ACE, or Assistant Community Editor, here at the Guide. We ACEs flit around from space to space welcoming new researchers and helping them out with whatever they need. In order to help make newbies a little less overwhelmed, I wrote a page with some links to some of the more important places here:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A577758
There are also some links to the organizations I'm involved in here on my user space, which you can get to by clicking on my name. If there's anything you need, just let me know by either responding to this message or leaving me a note on my user space.
I'm also a Thingite-- High Priestess of Thing and General in Charge of External Affairs... and I assure you, we Thingites will welcome you to our campaign if you want to join. Just leave a note at the manifesto page http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A516647 and the Warlord Clive will get back to you sometime soon... just tell him Amy sent you. We're a wonderful bunch of people... and bent on forever changing the calendar.
In any case, enjoy your time here!
~Amy (ACE, Keeper of Wolves, Muse of Procrastinating Novelists, High Priestess of Thing)

I know that Amy got here first (hi hun, ) but seeing as you've said that you support the Campaign to rename T ... (sorry can't say it - you know what I mean), Thing, I felt it my honour and duty to come and say hello.
As Chieftain of Clan McThing and Official Purveyor of Fine Wine and Cakes, I'll help you make your mind up ...
... it's all yours

With a name like "Anette" I´d have guessed you were German. Well I won´t invite you to the GerMania Connection then (You can go and have a look anyway...)
