My God, they've sunk my intro
Researcher CookyJar Started conversation Jul 7, 2001
Mere minutes ago I found out my intro had been taken out. Apparently, I have already managed to offend someone, which must be a new record, especially for a nice good boy like meself. I am currently slightly disorriented by the magnitude of this disaster (especially since the person responsible seems to have welcomed me to the site - which is kind of weird), and think that I will go shave some cats to vent some of my frustrations

Well... what exactly was in your intro? (sorry, didn't see this journal entry before I responded to the other one). Was there any language other than English? URLs to commercial sites? Anything at all that might have broken the House Rules? (at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/HouseRules )

Not that I know of. I mean, sometimes I do stuff without actually knowing it (which is actually one of the fun areas of my various mental depravities), but I really don't think I wrote anything along those lines there. Anyway, I don't even remember what I wrote, which is typical.
Right. So thanks to you two for the welcome, it is kinda nice to have people greet you and be ready to help, especially in a vast site like this.
Doesn't it strike you as somewhat non-Adams'ic, that whole BBC monitoring, procedures, and all the rest? I mean, not to sound corny, but I'm just reading Mostly Harmless again (no, I don't read Adams all the time - it's just my third time through the whole thing), and this seems strangely like that InfiniDim bit.
Let's all have an anarchistic revolution! Yay! Come on, you moderators, take me out! I dare you!

I've always found it useful to just work alongside the Italics and the Mods... granted some of the rules are . Though, if I go through a huge bout of moderation, I may be forced to join...

Guk! Well, that is - yes. Yeah, that's the word I was looking for. Viva la thingamajing. I'll look through it soon as I finish my entry for the day (it's been a very productive research day - I'll just put the top item here, though). Thanks for your support, and I'll join the cause! Yeah! Whhoooo! Down with oppression! Striped suits to everyone! Pills are on the house!
Hoorah!
(No, really, some of those bits about this is a NICE place - we want to keep it NICE - really made me cringe)

That's just odd. I mean, why would someone pop over just to mention she's sipping her coffee? I mean, I'm sipping my coffee all the time, but that goes without saying, right? It's the substance of life. Tea is fine too. Weird creatures, those humans

It's what I do...
There is actually a researcher here who will pop up to simply *burp*. I kid you not.
