Hello Jo
Thankyou to you both for the Parkin receipe brilliant the ingredients are slightly different.
Oh hec now Pete's taste buds are at it again sorry about that
really
You sound as if you have enough going on I hope Caz is feeling better, its sure good you are able to lend a helping hand.
I have copy and pasted the reciepe onto a Word doc and will forward it via email to USA ....( Like that that's techy eh ;o) .....)
Very handy to learn that copy and paste is ;o)
You minimise and then bring the Word programme...do the task and then save and then close and the click back up on line... just like that !!!
Well I cant cook so had to learn something useful
Bye for now ...can smell the parkin from here

Tech Ingredients
Vivamini Posted Feb 17, 2002
Hello Jo
Well here is the receipe for the techy PIE
1....Pie is the bit that keeps the info.
2. Software ( not tupperware ) is the bit you can't touch
3. Hardware is the bit you can ( The pots and pans)
4. To keep the pie at the right temp... the fan kicks in ..
Okies now we got it cooking ;o)
I too had the internet explorer prob and the only way I sorted it was with the tech chat of my server...
In fact I just had a prob now...so I closed the comp down and pressed the button and hey presto all is well again... sometimes I guess the poor old comp gets a bit muddled up with me ....
It sure takes some sorting at first ;o) but I know you will survive it ..... its sure better than any baking I done...
Dont forget Jo tell Pete you can shop on line for Food Too!
I did before Christmas ..... got it all delivered to the door.! was brilliant ...
On that note I am away going off to the static tomorrow just for the day as we are taking a friend to see one of the vans which is vacant and up for grabs....
Take care ...... Viv http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/AddThread?inreplyto=1739236

Hi Viv,

its murder cleaning all that cake
mixture of the walls!...........
hope its a nice day for you at the
static, yesterday was lovely here
really bright and quite warm when
you were out of the wind.
see you later Viv, take care,

Hi Viv,
I felt for you, when we saw weather reports
it looked real rough up your way,
we didnt have it quite so bad,but it
certainly has got cold and wintery
again!
weve been making some progress with
guide dog,Pete's had informal interveiw
and met a guide dog owner with her dog
oh he was so clever(Edward, golden retrevier)
and his had his medical to check his fit and able
to take care of a dog.next step, formal assesment
and if acepted to get dog wait for a
suitable dog and training in preperation
for one, have been warned even if all goes well
could take up to a year! do hope it does go through
pete really needs the independence
and will boast his self confidence and moral.
well Im rattling on here, have a good wk/end
and hope the weather improves your way,
take care Viv. jo.

Hello Jo
Oh in a way I was so chuffed to see your news on the guide dog and then as I read on you said " It could take a year " Still at least you are further than you were ... Oh what a joy it will be though ... I just admire the trainers and the dogs ....
Once on the disabled survey I did a few years back ..I had to escort a man with his dog in the city centre to see what probs he came upon. After we did the course once .,I was instructed to ask " Would you like to do the course again ?" His reply should make you both smile....
"Eee lass I would love to do it again for you ....BUT .... my dog will have to have some coaxing !" See they are clever.... thinking why go that way again we have just been there
I just adore them
Oh re; the weather well it sure has turned cold...only thing to keep us going is surely the worst is behind us
Take care you two.... Byeeee Viv http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/alabaster/AddThread?inreplyto=1769135
