I saw you online, and thought I'd stop by... Makes sense to get to know the people I'm going to get to meet this summer (finances allowing), huh? Have a mufflewhump!

Thanks for the Mufflewhump! And hi yourself. There's not much to tell about me, I'm pretty uninteresting. In fact, I've found that the quickest for me to kill a conversation is to join in on it. The only interesting feature about me is a tattoo that I have on my back. While I was takeing an 'Interactive Management' class we were supposed to tell something interesting about ourselves,& I said that even though Canada was the only foreign country I had ever visited, I once dated a girl from Cuba, and married a girl from Rome. The only time I was ever west of the Mississippi River, I did it by going East! And finally, I got frost-bite on both my hands in the middle of a hot, sunny, August afternoon. Other than that I'm pretty boring. I'm also old enough to know better by now, but I don't. Anything else you might want to know, just ask.

I managed to frost burn three of my fingers badly enough to blister when it was over 110...

I didn't forget this, honest... just been busy at w**k today...

The freezer we had when we lived where it was so hot was old enough that it was lined with metal, not the plastic stuff that makes 'em frost free. Anyway, I was putting a just-filled ice cube tray in when I brushed my fingers against the bottom of the freezer. I'd defrosted not long ago, so the metal was bare. My fingers stuck. And it took me a few secods to figure out that if I dumped the water in the tray over my hand, I'd be free... Long enough, however, to freeze my skin all the way to white...

I was a door-to-door frozen-food delivery driver. My truck broke down, and we had to transfer everything into another truck.It was hot & sunny so I didn't have any gloves with me, and was rather badly frost bitten by the time we were done!

I'd say yours was less of a moment than mine, then... After all, you had no way of knowing your truck would break down!

True, but it's still typical of my knack for having non-typical things happen to me.

I'm really looking forward to the meet-up, even though that is a weekend I'm scheduled to work. If there's any way I can get to the meet I'll take time off and be there! Want to meet IRL some of the fine people (like yorself) that I've met on-line.

Sorry about the double post, I have an OLD computer & sometimes it does strange things. It had me totally convinced that the first post didn't work, but then 'presto' there it was. Sometimes 'cyber land' confuses me!

If I thought I was busy before, on Monday night it got worse! My son lost control of my truck on snowy roads (not his fault, he was going slowly) and rolled it down a road bank. Nobody was hurt, except the truck. The body shop says it's all done, say 'goodbye!' Now we're down to one vechile to take three of us three different places! No idea when the insurance co. will settle, or if I'll be able to get anything nearly as nice. Sometimes life just sucks, that's when I appreciate H2G2 just that much more.
