If you do decide to come back, welcome back But either way...
I swear I'll try to remember to call again sometime--your number's buried in my inbox somewhere (I really should write it down...)

David Conway Posted Jun 5, 2003
Thanks, Amy.
I still haven't really decided. I enjoyed writing EG entries and, based on my looking around in Peer Review, think that there's still a lot I could contribute. OTHO, I still have some hard feelings about the way some of the regulars here treated the persons I loveand, by extension, me.
I'm also not sure that my being around wouldn't result in old news being rehashed.
For now, I'm just sticking my virtual toes in the virtual water here.

"*waddles like the wind*
Well, it looks like I'm going to be hanging around for a while. I've got two entries in Peer Review that I wrote just so the entry I *wanted* to write will be able to link to them.
I can't wander around when I'm supposed to be working. Neither workload nor the level at which internet use is monitored will let me.
You know, if Paperbaby decides to show up ten days ahead of schedule, we'll share a birthday!

Well, I certainly can't *run* right now...
I've learned of more people with July birthdays the last few months... Probably should've written them down, as most are friends
If you want, if I'm not 'busy' () you might get a call (since I seem to remember it being said that you don't generally like be reminded of your birthday, but you're the one that mentioned it, so I'm a little confused--the fact that it's 7 am has nothing to do with it)
*waves*
David Conway Posted Jul 3, 2003
It's not that I don't like to be reminded of my birthday, I just don't like an inordinate amount of fuss being made of it. I'm planning on spending the day with my mother. We'll both be making a donation to our favorite casino, over the course of many hours.
At least, that what I expect the outcome to be. Last time we went gambling, she came home about $150.00 ahead! (Note that I'm not saying how I did. )
7 am is no time to be trying to put words together in any sort of order that another person might understand, you know. I hate it when I'm scheduled for early morning meetings at work. I keep pressing for a rule exempting old hippies from having to talk with anybody before noon. No luck, so far.

Oh OK.
So you'd likely get to hear how much oof an idiot I can make of myself on voicemail Though it's worse if I've braced myself for voicemail, and a human answers

David Conway Posted Jul 4, 2003
I know more than one person who panic and hang up when a human answers where voice mail was expected!

Oh, I don't panic and hang up, but I do make a fool of myself!
Of ciourse, this weekend I found it throws me even more if I'm expecting voicemail, and a person that doesn't know me answers

*grumbles*
We were actually on at the same time last night, but when I came over to talk, my computer froze up
Anyway, by the time you read this, you may have read the last appointment update, but if not, it's in the journal of U211555. As you'll see, you might have someone sharing your birthday (Though I do think it'd be if July 11th was the day--that's my h2g2 anniversary...)

David Conway Posted Jul 9, 2003
Actually, there is no chance that Paperbaby and I will whare a birthday. You see, I read "*wandering around when she really should be w*rking, since after all, just because she *plans* on w*rking until July 15, there's no guarantee that PaperBaby agrees *" and foolishly took that to mean that your due date was the 15th. I know. It doesn't say that, or anything like that, at all. It says that you're planning on working until the 15th. So, I still need to work on my reading comprehension.
In any case, my birthday, which was on the 5th, went well. I didn't end up donating any money to my favorite casino after all. They donated money to me. Not much, but enough for me to go home smiling.

Somehow, I'd gotten it into my head that the 5th was your birthday, and then I read this thread again and saw the 10 day comment, and so (erroneously) came to the realization that it was the 10th... I was all set to call, too. Well, can i wish you a good unbirthday?
Oh, and, um, with how I've been feeling this afternoon/evening, let's just say that the 10th would be better than the 11th after all

Now that's ... I must've definately posted on the 9th, because I had a grand total of 4 contractions before going to the hospital (thought my water'd broke during a nap) on the 10th, and they were in the morning...
Timezones strike again
In case you were wondering why the 11th (which it turned out to be after all) was ... that's my h2g2 anniversary
Just popped over to say hi

I think I saw you doing more than saying hello in another thread. I'm still wading through the backlog (just two days worth, and I have to wade!), but do want to at least have the courtesy to wave back at you here.
Take good care of yourself, paperbaby and Tom.

I will, though sometimes Faith doesn't agree about how well she's taken care of. Tomorrow's bath day again, and, well, let's just say I tend to wonder what the upstairs neighbors think I'm doing to her with how she screams while I'm washing her hair

She actually didn't yell this time She didn't look very *happy*, but she didn't protest. Maybe she'll get to enjoy baths before she's, oh, 4...

If I weren't in the middle of setting the table for dinner (yes, it's late, but Tom just got home) I'd nag you to get on msn...
