Thanks, Chris, but...

My experience with survivors groups in the past tells me to stay away for a couple of reasons.

The main one is that I know that I have a bit of a rescuer complex and have found myself trying to do more than I can and feeling like a failure.

There is also usually a problem, eventually, with the group dynamic evolves. I've been lurking there and may participate if it stays a truly supportive group. It doesn't look like it's turning into a contest to see who's more pitiful or who has the worst past, which is a danger.

Lastly, I'm a bit concerned that, if I were an active participant in the group, things best left in the past wouldn't be and people best not discussed here would be.

Thanks for responding.

I see what you mean on all 3 points. Point 1, for sure; we have sorted out some sort of policy about willingness to participate and how much we can expect from each other. Not having the net at home I'm pretty limited, but looking out for those I'm closest to, as are others; so far so good. Point 2 time will tell, but everyone seems to be doing okay at the minute.

As for point 3, say no more.

Take care,

Chris
