Thank you, that's extrodinarily kind of you.
I have just moved into a flat and have nowhere to keep her. I manage to drive back a couple of times a week to walk her, but can't stay nor take her with me.

I hate it, but there's no choice - I had to move.
Hopefully I'll be moving to a house soon and can have here there. She stands at the gate and cries dreadfully when I leave.

im quite sorry. that is really sad. well, hopefully youll be moved in soon so you can have her back. whats her name?

Her name is 'Sphinx', after the Egyptian monument. She's a Border Collie cross and has only 3 legs (she lost one after a car accident when she was quite young) although that doesn't slow her down at all.
I will be able to visit her tomorrow which will be excellent.

weve got one named sheba, so if they share anything by wild egyptian names, im not sure two legs would slow her down! border collies are great fun.

Indeed they are.
Stopped by this afternoon and took her out for a long walk.
I'm sure it was theraputic for both of us.

i sure it was. she probably misses you. is she staying at someones house until you can find a place or are you boarding her? i always hated those boarding kennels.

She's staying at my old house with my ex - an awkward situation in itself. However she is happy to look after Sphinx and Sphinx knows her - so on the whole it's a better arrangement than a kennel, certainly for the dog.
Sphinx does miss me, she mopes apparently.

ouch, that is rather ackward though i agree that its better for the dog. no one wants a mopey mutt!

That's life I'm afraid.
Still, I'm getting into the whole house-hunting thing at the moment and will hopefully have somewhere soon. Failing a rapid solution there, my brother works on a farm so I'll send her to him to look after in the short term. It's 5 hours away , but I know she'll be lavished with attention until I can get her back.
