Something Useful 2

Today's visit to the petrol-emporium confirmed that if I keep my car serviced, it gives more go to the gallon. Specifically for a similar commute, 460 miles for the last two fill-ups since the service, as opposed to 420 miles for those in the month or two prior to same. Which means it IS both cost and environmentally effective to adhear to the manufacturers recommended servicing schedule! Who'd a thought it!
P.S. By environmentally effective, I mean that, given I cannot get to work without a car; limiting the damage caused by said action.

I think you do learn something everyday, so I've decided to use my journal to note my daily learning. If they're useful to other h2g2 readers, all the better. If, one day, these jottings appear to be a sufficient tome, maybe I'll publish a guide.
Enough introduction, today I learnt the truth in the adage "It's not what you know, it's who you know."
