You ever read The Time Machine? Reminds me of the bit where the Time Traveller is being groped by Morlocks in the dark.

You should, it's very good. The bit where the Time Traveller travels forwards to see the last days of the Earth is haunting and very well written.

*sigh* Yet another shameful gap in my education. Y'know, there's a huge list of good books I always mean to get round to reading, but I always end up reading something trashy instead. Usually with a 'Target' logo and a poorly painted picture of Tom Baker on front.
