Well, Babo Thruts, with a name like that how could I not rock up and leave a message.
Before I start, please ensure your chair is in an upright position and your table has been folded away into the seatback in front of you.
Splendid.
Right, I'm an ACE. That's to say and Assistant Community Editor, and in such a capacity it is part of our job to go around meeting and greeting new bods, such as yourself, to this The Guide. A list of fellow ACE's can be found here http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Aces and all of us are more than willing to answer any questions you may have.
The best way to get to know the place is to have a snoop. Barge in on conversations, give your tuppence worth in a peer review (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/peerreview) or start writing your own entries. A good starting point though is the Welcome page (http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/welcome). This tells you the ins and outs and welcomes you - surprisingly.
If you do happen to get in a pickle you can either go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/dontpanic where there are details of who you can contact, alternatively you can reply to this or start a new conversation on my homepage.
Have a rocking time and enjoy. For your travels, please help yourself to and
... it can be hungry and thirsty work.
