I only said non straights on that other thread for purely *descriptive* purposes to differentiate between straights and all manner of pervs such as bisexuals, transexuals, homosexuals etc

I'll give you a nudge at some point if I think you haven't noticed this. It doesn't seem to appear on your convo list. But it's given me a chance to think more about this issue.
Because heterosexuality is seen as the gold standard it doesn't follow that anything different from that can be put under one umbrella. In the context of threads where religious prejudice disses anything other than pure heterosexuality it's nice for me to have someone like HI around. So I might use a term like non straight. But in other circumstances I might have little in common with HI and he with me. It's only that the religious always seem to try to turn everything into black and white. The religious mindset seems to thrive on it.
Anyhow that's a more considered reason to explain to you why I said 'non straight'.
(I'm only posting here to you because I thought it might be interesting to discuss and I won't post anymore on that other thread).

Hi Effers,
Yes, the term 'non-straight' is perfect when discussing things with 'those type' of people. That's why I wrote homo...sexual. I can just hear some 70year old blue rinsed woman saying it with nose up-turned.
Oh, and for me the gold-standard is a bi-sexual woman....

Oh god...
But I can't imagine such a woman taking me for a gold standard..even if she were bipolar; even most of them think I'm a bit of a one.
