Thanks B'Elana, I hadn't worked out exactly who it was but it wasn't a newbie for sure. Rev Nick never really appeared on my radar too much but considering he uses my old moniker he must follow me a bit!

I think he followed the forum quite a bit, but it's hard to tell cause I don't. 
I'd have been hard pressed to remember (let alone use) your former moniker, and I've been on h2g2 for more than five years.

Alfster is my old moniker. I make no secret of it I use variations of it everywhere else. After one of the usual flounce off in a huff periods I didn't use a moniker but people complained so I just went by Researcher DotDotDot which is still fairly innocuous and links in with my writing style...
No newbie would a) know my old moniker from 3+ years ago and b) know the fact that I normally bat on about the inconsistency of the Bible which 'A Quiet Wanderer' picked upon yesterday.

Apart from calling you Alfster (which I knew is/was you, but wouldn't have used), the writing style, the opinions - everything is a dead give-away. Even the title and introduction on the PS.
I wonder what it is all about.

Trouble is, there isn't really much I can post here without everybody and their dog knowing it, so I don't expect the QW to come back now that his cover is blown.
