Howdy!
Good and bad actually.
Been made redundant from DC. My last day today.
Apart from signing the contract I have a new job in Northwich. Start end of July.
So, the last 4 weeks have been trying to get a new job - the first few weeks were very rocky but I have come to the conclusion that it's a good thing overall. And of course more Salsa clubs in Manchester.
The next 4 weeks will be sorting house out to sell, looking for new house oop North and sorting out some cheap(!) B&B for a while until I find my new dream house(property seems to be cheaper oop there so I will be able to upgrade).
I actually feel sorry for the people who are staying at work here.
Hope you are well and sorted things out.
Oh, as you are a parent have you heard of an author called Alan Ahlberg? I met him at Rose's birthday party last week(whom you met almost exactly two years ago in Leicester)...I didn't know who he was but the open mouths of a number of people there with kids told me he was someone 'important'.

No not heard of that author. Nice you're coming up north and Northwich is pretty I think. Houses will be cheaper nearer Manchester than in Cheshire though I reckon.
I hope your new job works out.
Be nice to catch up sometime. I'll give you a ring.

The author has sold 6 millin copies of a book called 'The Jolly Postman'...so it's probably quite good!
I am no officially unemployed I had much satisfaction at work saying bye to people who didn’t know and watching their jaws drop. Their loss.
Houses aren't too bad in Cheshire actually but if I can get a detached around Manchster somewhere that would be a bobby bargain.
Would be good to catch up with stuff and the like.
