...saw you in the what book you reading now thread. I liked the Covanant series (though it has been a while since I read them). My mother thought that he was a biig whinger, but I enjoyed them. The first series was better, I prefered the Land in its more stable incarnation Well, just my £0.02 So, until later....

I agree in part.
The first book were alot more Tolkieneque in their description of the land. Covenants misery was alot more personal to him and less all encompassing.
My mum thought he was a whinger too
It didnt stop her from reading both series.
Have you read any of his other books ?

I read his book of short stories, an eclectic mix, well worth the go if you like his writing, though. My best friend thought that the Covanant books were really good, and he also liked the mirror ones (I think) too (I never read them so cannot remember the series name), and I have only heard good things about the sci-fi series.
It has been so long since I have read his stuff that I am starting to mix it up in my head with the Fionavar Tapastry (its the giants that does it, I think ). Though I think the second Covanant series ending was better. Well, until later....
