Is where I'm spending most of the coming weekend. It's been raining all day (Wednesday) but I'm told the weather should be perfect by the time the English take the field early on Saturday afrvo

I thought for a moment that by "sixes" you may have been referring to the English cricket test team's upcoming batting efforts in Australia.

In fact in the final the England team were narrowly beaten (thank heavens or there'd probably have been a riot)by the Pakistani 6, which included Malik and Yasir Arafat and would have included Wasim Akram had he not been urgently required elsewhere.
The Australians came almost bottom, but the South Africans wre excellent. I'll go again next year if I'm still here.

What is the format? Who was playing for Australia or, for that matter, England given that the test team is in Brisbane?
