...i`m having a few system probs. Can you tell me how to change my password for h2. Have tried in preferences with no luck.

Go to 'preferences' and then click the "editing your global BBC user identity " link at the bottom of the page. This should allow you to change your password.
If this doesn't work, then try contacting h2g2support at U295 or by email.
