Today is my 3rd h2g2 birthday. It doesn't seem that long!
Well, I suppose there ought to be some sort of party with suitably inexhaustible supplies of and ...

Inexhaustible supplies of are a very good thing!
Is it really only three years? It feels like you've been here forever!
That's a good thing btw...
How are things going? Ready to take up your badges again yet?

Nah - the exams started for me in earnest yesterday. If anything, I've got to disappear from the face of h2g2 almost entirely for six weeks. However, I've actually resolved to chat less and use hootoo more - to store revision mini-essays that should be both good for consolidating knowledge, and which can then (after July 3rd) be submitted to the EG.
Happily, though, I've got myself a well-paid job for the summer which should allow me to make £1600 and do just four days a week - I still get a week of holiday too, and although the work is boring, it's local and it doesn't involve anti-social hours or litter-picking. Although that was an option, except that I missed out on the dates for training for menial tasks at the Royal Show (Stoneleigh Park) - which I have heard pay insanely well. But then again, they're only for a week.

And btw, I should have said thanks for popping by and wishing me a happy hootoo birthday. I know you're really busy, and it's nice that you took the time to drop by. I was feeling a bit lonely yesterday - not even E G Mel (who always replies to my journals!) said 'Hi!' - I presume because she wasn't online at the right time to do so.
Stay well, and I hope I'll see you again soon - probably on 10th July, I suspect...

No problem! Because I can't spend hours on the site crawling through other people's conversations to find something to chat about, I tend to stare at names a lot! That way I can join in some of the sort of conversations I used to spend hours having.
Ah, how things have changed. From 12-18 hours a day logged into h2g2, I'm lucky if I get an hour a day. And I share that with various other forums that I read now.

It's not so bad, I'm still here, haven't left yet! Sometimes I'm tired of being at the beck and call of the internet.
I own the computer, it doesn't own me. I will learn that eventually.

I'm here now and I can't believe you're turning 3 doesn't time just fly
Sorry I didn't get here sooner, I've had a 4 day weekend (lovely) and since I only access the internet from work (tsk tsk) I wasn't able to drop by any earlier.
Any way have a b'day and you've got a while to go until you catch up oldies like me

Don't worry about it - I was just expressing surprise as you have recently been one of the first to jump into my Journal threads each time I've posted. Thanks very much for the and the kind words!
