So, hoo-me, how are you doing these days? I've lost track of you; are you still in London or did you manage to escape? I'm happily living in Shrewsbury these days, which is wonderfully old and cranky.
Hope you're doing well.

Hello!
Sorry about the delay replying to this - I went to France, where they don't have the internet.
I'm still in London, living and working in Ealing. I am currently working in the editorial department of a company that provides schedules and listings information for TV, on a team serving the needs of a broadcaster you will definitely have heard of. Increasingly, my job relates to our deliveries to a certain video-on-demand service that you will definitely have heard of.
This has the convenient side-effect of keeping me close enough to my group of friends from university. After that finished last summer, I did escape London for five months, during which time I frantically searched for a job in London. It took a further six months to get somewhere to live sorted out, for reasons that I still don't fully understand, but now it's just a half-hour walk to work, or (too often) a ten-minute bus journey.
Good to hear from you - what have you been up to?

France doesn't have the internet at all?
That sounds like a fab job. Mine is not; I work as a temporary admin at the local prison. I'm trying for other things, and I'm aiming to train as a teacher in the long term, but for now I'm just sitting tight.
In other things I'm attempting to start playing my clarinet again, which has sorely lapsed over the last couple of years. I'm still blissfully married and generally enjoying life. We're looking to move house to somewhere slightly further away from town, but for now it's all just pie in the sky.
Key: Complain about this post
