How do you know DNA when you see it ?

Hi whoami
I envy you your youth and your computer skills. smiley - smiley
I've dropped in here because you posted to the Remember DNA thread.
Whilst I am a strong advocate of DNA I must confess that I am not entirely sure how you identify when it is being used. I do know that as far as I'm concerned I like conversing on the DNA sites far better than I do on Message Boards.
Looking at h2g2 : 360 : and BotF I can see a strong similarity and have no real problem 'lurking'.smiley - biggrin
SofP sites,Talk London and Buffy are another matter. I would be grateful if you could tell me what aspects of DNA technology have been utilised in their make up.
Ancient Brit.

Currently, all DNA sites have /dna/ in the URL of each page. Apart from that, I go on logon recognition and Forum-under-Entry layout. smiley - smiley That and I'm part of the BBCiTesters group, so I get to play with all the new DNA sites prior to launch. smiley - smiley

I know what the current and under development sites are, because I'm told or I find them. However, say there was to be a site that I missed, I'd know because the URL would be

http:// www.bbc.co.uk / dna / sitename (spaces in to prevent formation of broken link)

And by the way it looks and works, I suppose. smiley - smiley

I'm a bit disappointed Whoami. I thought you would have come up with some solid technical justification for the employment of DNA technology.

That's it, I'm afraid. I'm no programmer. I know how DNA works in as much as I've been using it and its ancestors for two years.
Otherwise, I don't know of any 'secret trick' - but my method works well so far.
