Hello, and now for the grovelling apology..

Hello Whoami

Sorry I have been away from the nrc for so long, but I have been busy with extra uni work and the start of my placement. But I should have been in contact before now, and I have no excuse, sorry.

However, now I'm settled again now and I would like to help. Would you like me to look over any of the guides? or would you like me to write one?

I hope I can still be involved.

Do you still remember the password for the account at U194242? If not, usual thing, drop me a line at [email protected], and simulpost the contents of the email here.

Nice to have you back on the team,

Hello

Glad to be back aboard smiley - smiley

I think I still have the password e-mail, but if I don't I'll let you know.

I had an idea for an entry on choosing a subject for a guide entry, because I feel some people get stunned into mental inactivity when you say "anything". You know, a bit like it's always harder to remember something if your trying to remember it.

Anyway, I thought I'd do a draught of that in the next couple of days and hand it in to see what you think, ok?

The best way to do it is to hijack one of the empty entries in the NRC bunch I created a while ago and to write about it - add your own name to the credits box. That way, we can both edit it so that we can both add our bits of advice, or respond to notification of errors. It's U194242. Just check <./>Online</.> first - or things could get weird...

I've started up a forum for the NRC offsite to help us to plan without giving all the ideas away. Please do the following things, PSG:

1. Send an email to [email protected] entitled 'Forums Signup'
2. Simulpost here for validation
3. Sign up at http://www.dotsurfer.co.uk/forums/ with an obvious name.
4. Wait for me to transfer you into the correct user group, and tell you the password to the Private Forum section.

Right I'm just off to register with that forum thing. Oh, by the way I started a bit of work on the review forums, as a sort of lamens guide. Could you take a look to see if I'm on the right track.

Hello again
I registered with the name ResearcherPSG, but every time I log in it logs me straight out again. Is this as I haven't been added to the group you created?

I've checked on a college computer. I had to change your password to check it in your name, so sorry to inconvenience you by doing so. As a result, you have been sent a new password (that I don't know) using the Admin Control Panel.

As far as being logged out all the time goes, all I can suggest is that you need to check that your browser is allowing cookies from the dotsurfer site.

Right, I got the new password but still getting this message and being returned to login.

The following errors were found:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The board administrator requires all members to log in

I don't think it's the cookie thing as I can get into other systems that require cookies.

I'm not experiencing the same errors, but since you're having difficulties I'm going to go and speak to the support people at the forum company. They offer outstanding support considering I'm not paying for their product and there's no ad banners.

What OS, Browser, etc. are you using?

Right, I'm sorry, I've tried to reorganise my time and I'm afraid I can't get it to work. Too little time I'm afraid and too much to do, so I'm going to have to resign (Not that you will be able to notice the different ) sorry.

I should have thought about this more before volunteering, but I volunteered before I started my new job and I didn't realise how much time commuting would take up.

Once again sorry for wasting your time, and I hope to see you around.

Don't worry, PSG. Your input has been great and I've been neglecting the project as much as you.

I'm happy as long as:

1) You're still around on h2g2.
2) You're happy.

Good luck with the commuting!
