Just thought I'd let you know that one of the BBC's Foreign Correspondents, Jonathan Charles, has registered on 360 and he's willing to answer any questions about conflict from the point of view of someone who's been out there in the field getting shot at. He's been in the Balkans and Afghanistan as well as other conflict zones.

He's just come back from Georgia - the beautiful Pankisi valley close to Chechnya where there are supposedly al-quaida cells operating. He didn't find any - but, as he says, at least he wasn't kidnapped!

Jonathan's personal space is at U190637 but he's also posted to the 'About Us' section so you can talk to him there too, should you wish.

I'm really pleased about getting Jonathan Charles on the site. He's an old mate who used to stay with me when he did shifts in Birmingham (we met in local radio). He had a wardrobe full of Armani suits and came from a seriously prosperous family but he is so committed to journalism that he spends most of his time where there's barely any decent food.

I wasn't saying they shouldn't - just that most of the time the Italics'll be contacting me it's about the Editorial Process, Ace/Guru matters or something. Thanks for dropping me a line! I see you've become addicted to smileys - congratulations!
