h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Hello whoami?! I Saw your awards and i wondered how you can get those
answer when you like

They're not so much awards as badges. They show that I'm an official h2g2 volunteer for various things. The top badge means that I'm an ACE, and go around welcoming people, as you know from today, (So nice of you to reply, often poeple ignore you until they get stuck!), and that I help to guide new users through their first steps on h2g2. The second means that I'm a guru, another volunteer who helps out with questions from any h2g2 user. The third and fourth are connected with Peer Review, the process of turning a noraml entry in the Guide into an Edited entry. A Scout picks the entries to be processed, both from people ewho have asked nicely at Peer Review, and from the Guide in general. The accepted ones are then sent to a Sub-Editor to be made into good, legible English and gently nudged into the lines of the Writing Guidelines. I am all four of these things, and there are about 42 of each volunteer. Most volunteers do one of the four things, some do two, a few do 3 but as far as I know, I'm the only person at the moment who is doing all four. Nice to speak to you, bye for now!

a. Go to Peer Review by clicking the large banner advert picture at the top of the page.

b. Check that your entry conforms with the Writing Guidelines

c. Post a message in the set format to the Peer Review Page

d. Listen to, and act upon, replies.
