...and everything looked okay; Ireland is a good place to go, you seem to care for the moon, good idea, former bass-player, very fine, but what for Pete's sake is there to like about patatoes?!?..

What do you mean? Potatoes are wonderful!!!!!
Potatoes are the greatest thing in the natural universe

I probably always had to eat the wrong kind, but I don't like them; they're pasty, don't have any distinguishing taste and have a vaguely brown skin...they must be the Bee Gees of the vegetable-world!
(Except for the fact that the Bee Gees had better trousers and a patatoe can hold more gravy)

You should try them with no skin and with pounds of garlic and butter
Steer clear of the Beegees though

Is wasn't planning to consume one of those hairy guys. I only really like baked or fried patatoes.
By the way;the subject-title makes me wanna say:"...and I noticed there wasn't a chair", but that's me

You think a chair should be provided? I thought everyone brought their own
Or they can use their towel on the floor
So I lurked around...
bawimeko Posted Sep 6, 2005
..I'd almost forget the towel! Of course!
About that bass-playing; what kind of band were you in? Jazz-rock? Speedmetal? Polka?

No I just played by myself and occasionally with friends... also the school band but that was *awful*

Playin bass on your own...sounds a bit lonely (I did it sometimes on my brother's bass guitar, the advantage being you can, while you're playing, invent a fantastic band around you; Lenny White on drums, Catfish Collins on guitar, etc.)

More freedom too. When I used to play with one group of friends I had to keep it simple because the drummer got confused
and the other group of friends wanted to make everything over complicated

bawimeko Posted Sep 8, 2005
Mentally confused or did he want to keep 13/8 time?
Bands/groups very often don't work out...sometimes the guitarist is quite good, the bassist is okay and the drummer can't keep time...all in all it sounds horrible (I just described my brother's band: it was hilarious to listen at; imagine Steve Vai having to play at different beats because the drummer gets tired at the end of the song!)

She followed me instead of the other way around. If not for me they all would have been horribly out of time
