I was reading your page and wondered what anime was?

Anime is simply a term for "Japanese animation." Some examples of Anime you may be familar with are Pokemon and Sailor Moon. These have become very popular in the United States as well as other parts of the world.

Anime has it's roots in "manga" which literally translated is "Japanese comic books." These are very different from their American counterparts, as many of them have very realistic plots. This doesn't hold true for all manga, though even the surreal ones have some underlying reality to them.

There is a great Guide Entry detailing manga, and mentioning anime. Now you've given me a reason to learn GuideML and to update my entry to like to them. Thanks!

GuideML is fun - you kinda get carried away trying to make things look good and adding stuff just for the sake of it.

Not too keen on Japanese cartoon style, they always have weird action sequences. Think I'll stick to Tom and Jerry.

Tom & Jerry is definatly a classic! Unfortunatly, it's one of those cartoons that I know I watched as a kid, but can't really remember one episode in particular. That's probably because they were all the same!

I do have one episode that I will always remember, because we have it on cine film. Everytime we watch the old videos we have to have the cartoon on at the end, then we watch it backwards. It is in a pool hall and it's very funny watching the balls roll backwards.

I think you may have something there. Playing cartoons backward! There's got to be some theater that would do that. Put on some funky music, and you're all set!

Now, if you could only figure out how to play them sideways, you'd be golden.
