I just read one of your ACE welcomes ... I hope that you won't be offended if I make a couple of suggestions 
When you post a link in your it's easier for the newbie if you post it as a link - that way they can just click on it and go straight there. The link that you posted as www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/team doesnt work - maybe you meant http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Welcome-Newcomers ???
It's also handy if you can put 3 dots ... after the subject - that way other ACEs can see that the Researcher has already been ACEd - when I started as an ACE I got lots of help from Vegiman's page on How To Be A Good ACE - it's at http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/Welcome-Newcomers
you might find it useful too.
