Hi Lifson,
I told you I would turn up again (but probably you haven't read that yet). Anyway, Just after signing up for the guide, I started wondering where I could get my researchers ID Card. So I did what researchers usually do: research!
And after a full quarter of an hour I turned up with only one reference to an ID Card: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A338591
And this is only a proposal to develop one which is about one and a half year old and nobody else seemed to have noticed it yet! Is it really true that there are n-thousand researchers and none of them misses his/her ID Card?
cheers, C.A.

You have a good point there! I'll put something out on the ACE-Forum about it and see what they say. Most of the Staff are on the ACE-Forum, so I can appeal to their italicnesses (if that's a word)!
I'm Researcher 176378, and I think we're well into the 180000s. Not that many researchers make it off the planet, and so don't tend to require one!!!
I'll get on the case and see if I can get you (and everyone else) an ID Card!!!
All the best,
Lifson

http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/F47999?thread=90453 That this the address of a Conversation forum on the subject of Researcher ID cards. The guys on the ACE-Forum are reviving the discussion - and if we campaign hard enough, I'm sure we'll get somewhere soon!!!

Re: ID Cards - things seem to be progressing on the ACE Forum. There are now some plans for ID Cards, but this will probably be in the long term.
I don't know how soon you are planing on going extra-terrestial, but these things will take time.
