The Unexplainable
Posted May 17, 2001
It is, I must say, hard to comprehend what has happened. I only discovered Adams for the first time (for I have rediscovered him many times over since) January of this year. Tragic as it may be I feel that it would not be respectful to dawdle over this too long. I doubt that Adams would want anyone to mourn for him at all. We must take this in stride and remember that no matter the bad things, or the unjust things, it is essential we continue on and laugh as if he were still here. There is never death in literature, only legends and dusty books. Farewell Douglas, it was great.
