h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've dcided that it's about time I started writing to myself since no one else finds my life interesting either... at least I can pretend!

The burning question of the hour is "Should I stay or should I go?". More correctly this should read "When can I leave Germany and do I really want to go back to Blighty or should I go somewhere more interesting (there's that word again!)?". Unfortunately The Clash didn't write a song called "When can I leave Germany and do I really want to go back to Blighty or should I go somewhere more interesting", so I'll leave it at the previous question.

I used to love living in Brighton, why did I ever leave? The "California of England", rather a grand title and perhaps somewhat of an exaggerration (exactly how many r's & g's I never know) but a whole bunch of fun is what it was. OK, so I was poor and my love life was down the toilet but I was happy.

Now my poor (in a different sense to that above) wife is solely responsible for my happiness... Heck! This is turning into a dirge and I promised myself a dearth of dirges... anyroadup, I need some suggestions, right now nearly anywhere will do!

Four days off now, I wish the blinking sun (no, not a specifically German phenomenon, just being polite) would go in, the heavens open and allow me to miserable in peace!

Meanwhile I shall have to post some rantings to distract meiself...

I'm a uni student workin over here for a year in aplace called ingolstadt (between munich and nuremberg). I've only got 1 month left now before I go home.

Whats so bad about the sun at the moment anyway. Enjoy it because its gonna be p**sing it down the rest of the year. Just find a beergarden somewhere tommorrow and get drunk and things may seem better.
