The 4 eternal questions

Post 1

Colin Azole

Hello there. Loved the questions. I am new here so thought that this may be the best way to get stuck in. This is despite the fact that my answers to your questions maybe unadulterated poo.

What is your favourite saying?
- "It's not rocket science". Not profound I know, but I do find myself saying it all the time. It is so applicable to different situations; when people put themselves down and think they can't do things, when design is done badly (unless it is regarding the design of rockets that is), or when someone asks you whether this is the 167 to Waterloo or rocket science. Yes, I'm winging this.

What obsessions do you have that you can talk about in public?
- I only have one and that is probably best described as beauty. I don't mean this in the Audrey Hepburn way, but rather to describe a property of the world I am always looking for. I see it a great building, a great view, great music, inventive comedy and rationality (as well as many other places).

How would you describe your taste in music?
- Generally dark, a bit angry, definitely not wishy-washy.

Who would you most like to be and why?
- I don't want to be anyone else because I'd feel so guilty when I ate their dinner.

Well, that's what the four questions unearthed. Nice chatting.

Hail the Colemister

How is it going? I am quite new round here (well about a week anyway!) Thank you for your answers - I think they are great, made me smile and at some points even laugh!

I share your passion for looking for the beauty in the world - it is as the song says such a 'wonderful world' after all! Nature and people provide so much to be enjoyed and treasured. Great sunsets are a particular favourite of mine - I also have to confess to being a real people watcher ...

Dark and angry music - like what?

I liked your poems - very John Hedgley (I'm not sure if that is spelt right!) Some of my favourite poems / lyrics remain the AA Milne Poems (including the Hums of Pooh) and there was a great Band many years ago called Red Lorry Yellow Lorry who did songs about being in love with a brown paper bag and had another song which comprised the great lyrics 'Hello, my name is John. My name is John and I have my glasses on.'

Apart from surviving your life of suffering and writing poems what else do you do?

Look forward to talking to you again
