Californias' Power "Crisis"
Posted May 29, 2001
Greetings from Northern California....I have to write this hello quickly..else another rolling blackout could disrupt my writing.
I reality, I have not had a power disruption, but in the world we live in...it goes out once a week...
It goes like this...The Environmentalists do not want Nuclear....they do not want Coal...they do not want Natural Gas...and they do not want to build more dams for Hydroelectrical power. and of course in an attempt at domestic piece, our politicians have caved to these demands.
And here we are.
Confused yet?
So are we.
The answer they are proposing is to put a price cap on a limited supply of energy so that the compnanies that own the power sources cannot pay the employees or maintain the power facilities.
The truly disconcerting issue is, until this "crisis" occurred, nobody knew about it, it just seemed to happen.
I will add to this in the event that anyone out there is curious or if someone has any information and can enlighten me on what is going on, I hope to find answeres somewhere in this Galaxy.
All the best.

The truly disconcerting issue is, until this "crisis" occurred, nobody knew about this looming problem...it just happened.
I cant explain it. I can only relate what has been reported, and observed firsthand.
I will add to this in the event that anyone out there is curious or can enlighten me on what is going on.

As it it known in Northern California - The City - the first thing you should know....do not go to Pier 39 and its surroundings, it is a tourist trap, you will end up broke, depressed and possibly in an E.R. wondering why your backside hurts! . What you will want to do is, Rent an AUTOMATIC transmission car (no worries on the hills) and cruise the Districts in search of a place to park...you be the judge of the area you park...then get out and walk...A note: walk like you know where you are going, or when you see a homeless person act like you are on the cell phone, they wont bother you as much.
this should get you started on your trip around The City...._Plese contact me should you have any questions.....
