Hi!
I read on another thread that you read the book and saw the film.
I saw the film first - it's one of my favourites!
Me, I'm Ellie in another universe
Then I got the book out of my local library on the advice of Jim Lynn but I couldn't get into it at all. It was so different - and a lot harder to understand. It just wasn't the same story for me.
I'd love to know your thoughts on either or both.

p.s. I wrote an entry for the Guide on the film here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A543278

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
