h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've felt exactly the same way over the last four weeks. I had no idea there were such hateful people hiding behind the silly monikers and home spaces on this site. I posted an open letter similiar to the comments in your introduction above, but have yet to read any apologies on the part of those researchers who feel "America got what it deserved". I find it hard to believe that many of these Brits, Danes, Italians, Aussies, New Zealanders, Canadians, etc. would not grieve or want revenge if the same thing happened to their country. And I find it hard to believe they cannot tell the difference between our government and our people. I've discovered something during the past month. There are a lot of moral cowards on this site. They talk about peace a lot, but would rather sit in front of the computer screen and whine than go out and help their fellow man.

I to am sad over some of the people on this site who before september 11nth I had thought of as intelligent. How anybody could make comments that america only got what she deserved and other similar remarks is incredulous. These pseudo intellectuals spout anti- american venom from behind thier fires walls. These are the kind of people who smile to your face but as soon as your back be turned drive in the knife.

They rant on about america meddling in other countries affairs or america being to isolationest. {damned if you do damned if you don't} They do not mention any of american charity or foriegn aid. Or do they realize if not for america most likely they would be speaking russian or chineese now if talking at all.

But what truly infuriates me is their cold indifferant attitude towards the over 5,000 mothers, fathers, brothers , sisters {who incidently come from many nations} who will not ever come home from work. I some how think these people who spout this rhetoric are validaters of terrorism. I also believe thier tune would change fast if it were thier home town/city and their mothers,fathers brothers and sisters under that rubble.

There are also so americans who in my eyes are even worse. The " I am so sorry for being american, we are guilty of mistreating people for over 200 years we our horrible bad people I apologise for living and every bad thing in the world" you know the type apeaser/apoligist/coward.

We have suffered an apalling attact by mad men who would impose thier warped sense of views on all. Whoever will not bow to thier ways they feel it is thier right to kill and duty to kill. These type of people cannot be reasoned with. They will continue to kill until their ability to do so is removed.

Being a father the last thing I want is war. I am truly saddened by anyones children being harmed. I am in no way a hawk. What I am is a realist who will do anything to protect his children. I realize that american policy has not always been correct or just in their dealings. But i do believe that our country is inherantly good. Now is a time for us to come together not engage in self flagelation. I will also not disrespect the men and women who put thier lives on the line to protect us.

Lastly thanks for the message and do not be disheartened as thier are a lot of good people on this site who have voiced there concern and given their prayers.
