Hi Richard - your comments rang a bell with me - especially the bit about not being too certain where you are based. Your ID/job description sounds a bit like me, except that as from tomorrow I am out of it completely - early retirement at last. I am busy trying to forget everything I ever knew about networks and mainframe links!
Anyway, welcome to the Guide, you are obviously making yourself at home here. For me, the fun part has been writing and sub-editing articles, but all that is suspended for the time being because I am going to do my own thing for a couple of months.

Retirement huh, you lucky frood! 33 here, it'll be a while before I can think about that, even on contractors pay (bloody tax mans after me *again*). Good luck with the forgetting about networks *grin*, I need to forget everything about Weblogic and .jsps
