Tis nice to encounter such a refreshing spirit as yourself. I am particularly impressed with your fridge hoovering skills and very envious of your grasp of guideML. I am very new to h2g2 but I think I'm going to like it here.
If I have posted in the wrong area pleased feel free to slap my wrist and throw a seed cake at me. Catch you in the lyrics thread.

Hello Manic_Impressive!
Welcome to h2g2. I'm pleased to meet you! Thanks for visiting my page.
Yes, I do remember running into you on the lyrics thread. I'm on there quite often as it's a great way to get those sometimes pesky musical mantras out of my system. There are quite a few of us there who must have some sort of incidental music loop running constantly for each of life's moments.
I hope you're enjoying yourself here on hootoo. I'm a neophyte here as well.
The first couple of weeks, I just lurked and surveyed where I might like to dawdle and where I might deftly like to avoid. My intro was made a week and a half ago in a fit of guideML delirium.
It suddenly just occurred to me that guideML was indeed do-able.
BTW, I like what you've done to your page! You jumped right in there, which is terribly impressive for someone so new to the neighbourhood!
I'm not about to slap your wrist or throw at you...you're exactly where it's my pleasure to make your acquaintance!
What part of the real do you inhabit? I'm from somewhere near Santa Barbara, California.
Pop in and say hello from time to time!

Many thanks for the kindest of welcomes.
I live in a Hull, a once major fishing town on the east coast of the UK 50 miles east of Leeds. I suppose it could be described as an urban backwater with a hint of cod.
Hull's claim to fame is that it's the birth place of William Wilberforce, who is credited with the abolishion of slavery, however, personally I think he had a lot of help from others.
Musician's spawned by Hull are The House Martins, The Beautiful South and Mick Ronson (David Bowie's guitarist during his Ziggy years).
It's a far cry from the excitement of CA. Colin has been eavesdropping and is now packing his ickle suitcase because he wants to live with you. Look after him when he gets there, you can't miss him, he's wearing a 'Fraiser' baseball cap.

Good Evening Manic!
How was your day? Hope it was lovely.
Little Colin arrived safely just half an hour ago. The poor dear was struggling in, looking so weary and travel worn. I looked closely and found to my utter surprise that the wee dearie was encrusted with grout!
No wonder he is exhausted! His little wings were caked with the stuff!
He is freshly bathed now and sitting at my kitchen table enjoying a nibble of ginger biscuits with a bottle cap of tea.
Pardon me, I think he said something just now...
Something about ...?
Awwww.He said he wishes you well and will miss you and when will he see you again.
Manic, I think we shall have to arrange a shared custody of the cute little fellow.I think he'd like that very much.
Must dash, he's headed for the swimming pool again!

Hi cynth
Glad Colin arrived ok. Hope he gets on with your house guests, and be careful when you hoover the fridge as he is quite inquisitive and may end up down the dustpipe.
I have had a busy day. I am on leave from work and have been painting the bathroom ceiling - can't wait to go back to work for a rest. I now have so much paint in my hair I look like a yeti on a bad hair day.
Tell Colin he is welcome to visit anytime, however, I feel he may prefer the sunnier climes of the west coast to the rain drenched shores of the UK. Make sure he wears a crash helmet if he uses the diving board, he's modelling himself on Greg Luganis.
Hope your day was a good one.

You may indeed. May I put you on mine in return.
Take care of Colin
He likes a screwdriver or harvey wallbanger as a treat

By all means!
Colin is snoozing cosily in a teacup. You didn't tell me that he snores!
I'll leave the inebriating treats for tomorrow. for the tip!
Sleep well, new friend!

I like what you've done to your page today with the marquee tag!
BTW, Colin has taken to wearing RayBan sunglasses outdoors and indoors.
I warned him that it might affect his aerodynamics but he told me to chill
and that nothing could cramp his style...
He told me to say "ciao, baby" to you for now.
Hope your day's been terrific over there!

Thanks, I am striving to match your exemplary page style.
Today has been good, it rained lol. Whatever you do don't give Colin a credit card, he's partial to designer clothes. I hope you don't have cranefly escorts out there, I had to sell my grandma to pay his bill over here.
Confusious say 'beware cranefly with expensive tastes'.
Has he asked you to take him to LA yet? He was banging on about Hollywood while he was packing.
Well it's weekend tomorrow so I might not be around much. If I don't catch you again tonight have a good weekend , I know I will and be happy
