Hi Jazzmonkey
Indeed there aint nothin like jazz.
I am fan more of the greats like Brubeck and Felonius Monk.
Don't let the name fool you I'm from Edinburgh and I am a musician.I have played Guitar for 15 years and am grappling with Piano at the moment but I think it's still a long time till I can call myself a Jazz musician!
A piano, A Double bass , And a Trumpet is all thats required in my mind to make mind blowing Jazz ! Whats your favourite instruments?
PS.I think i qualify as young seeing as I'm 25 I also make Techno and Love Heavy Metal har har.

hey fox......good to find a fellow jazzman
Actually, I can do no more than bash a few chords out on the old geetar, but it's the effort that counts in my book.
And believe me, it's an effort. Ask the audience....
I'm a bit of a Trane and Miles Davis fan myself, but I also like latin stuff, cuban, Getz and Gilberto and the like.
Also, I love grat singers and songs, so I'm a Sinatra fan.
But that could also stem from my affection for Mafiosi...hee-hee
Oh, and I looove Erykah Badu.
And I like funk. Tower of Power (If you wanna hear great sax, check out a track called 'It's not the crime': So good, it sounds like the Muppets), and many others.
I'm afraid you're on your own with the Metal thang.
Well, actually you're not, I know that there are loads of other people who are similarly afflicted. There's probab;y a self-help group for it. But, you've gotta want to change, Fox.
Recognising you have a problem, is the first step....
