The community is shocked by the death of Douglas Adams, creator of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I think I am starting to find my way round here but it is difficult to join conversations.

Oh, it shouldn't be hard to join the conversations. It's fine to lurk a little first, but don't be afraid to join, h2g2 researchers are very nice people, and most of us are more than glad to help newcomers!
I'll warn you, though! This place is *very* addictive!

hi, la justine, i'm soeasilyamused (aka sea) and i was in the adventure forum you posted in earlier. you'll have to excuse YK, he can be a bit... pedantic about his adventure forums.

anyway, there are TONS of conversations you can join in where everyone will be glad to see you! there are also many groups you can join here on h2g2, as well as the volunteer schemes, which you'll probably hear about later.

so... anyway, if you have any questions, ottox and i (as well as any ACE, Guru, or Guardian Angel- or pretty much any researcher, for that matter!) would be GLAD to help you out!

(by the way, the best way to join conversations is to go to other researchers' spaces and see where they're chatting! or, you could go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/info? and see where other people are posting)
