It was dark here thursday night
Posted Aug 18, 2003
I live in Toronto, which was affected. I'm curious to see what sort of headlines the tabloids come up with.

Kranky Kid.
Posted Aug 9, 2003
My daughter didn't get to sleep until late last night, got up early this morning and spent from about 9 AM to 6PM playing in a baseball tournament. There were breaks between games, but none of them were very long. She claims not to be tired. Yeah right!
She is tired, cranky and irritable. She is refusing to take a time out for rude behavior. Things should be better after she gets a good nights sleep.
Her team got second place, and I'm very proud of her. I just wish she wasn't so cranky. *sigh*

Massively Huge Concert
Posted Aug 2, 2003
I went to the massively huge sarstock concert in downsview park on wednesday. Husband and I left about 5 because the heat, loud music and crowd were getting to us. I would've liked to have stayed, but I suspect husband could've ended up with heatstroke or having a seizure. And I'd still have a headache.
There's talk about having a huge, but not as huge, concert there as an annual think. I doubt I'd ever go, but it would be very cool if the people in charge decide to go for it!

Tomorrow is My husband's Birthday
Posted Jul 26, 2003
Which, according to the family rules, means he gets to hog the computer all day.
Contrary to popular belief it doesn't make him a year older. You don't not age for 364 days then suddenly get a year older on your birthday.

Now I Remember Why I Avoided TTC Washrooms for Over Ten Years!
Posted Jul 25, 2003
Yesterday we went to DHs aunt's place for a bit of a b-day party. DH will be 32 on sunday. I had fun, he had fun, our daughter had fun... until the trip home. I had what I thought were gas cramps. A bit painful, and stinky when the gas comes out, but not really a problem. When I told him I had gas cramps he said it could be worse, I could have the runs.
It was worse.
Due to the state of my bowels I couldn't wait until I got home to use the can. Thank goodness there are subway stations with washrooms! They're reasonably clean, but not as clean as the average restaurant one in Toronto.
I don't think I'll go into a TTC washroom until the next emergency.
