Captain D: Thank goodness I still have my amazing arsenal of weaponry. Do you think my trusty 2B pencil will work or should I use something harder? A 3H maybe? (wriggles pencil tin free....it's contents fall onto the fire, burning merrily)
Curses! Weaponless!
Harpmender sighs wearily, undoes his ropes and leaps down, clear of the fire. He rolls a large boulder on top of it putting it out, muttering : "I shouldn't be doing this sort of thing any more. I just wanted the quiet life...". In no time at all he has released Bob, Imp O Lite and the Captain. The Harpmender crosses himself, mutters a bit more about "heroes today.b****y useless the lot of them" and draws an enormous sword from under his robes which with a lot of flying fur, slashes the bloodthirsty monsters into a million pieces.
"So much for prophecy! It took me ages to make that Harp and make it sing that! I really didn't want to come out of retirement!
The Harpmender trudges angrily off, muttering as the others still stare in a stunned silence.
