Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
Didn't book a sicky????? Whats wrong with you man!!!!????
I could give you a list of instances where you wouldn't harm you back at all, but thats probably what got me into this mess in the first place.....
Are you taking any painkillers? When I broke my ribs about 6 weeks ago I was given what can only be described as 'Horse Tranquilizers'....I was so high for 4 days I was convincing my self they were for a horse and my Dr had just stepped out of the simpsons! The reason I would find that particularly funny is that my Dr's first Name is Nicholas.....
Nope last time I was baking there were no problems at all which is why I am convinced this is of the feminine persuasion.... Only a bloody woman could cause this many problems!!
My diet consists of fruit, mashed potato (nothing in it) and Jacobs Cream crackers if I'm feeling adventurous...
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
Just on cocodamol type stuff for the antiinflammatory effects. Not a big fan of painkillers for muscle strain pain since if I can;t feel it, I don;t know when I am making it worse!
I had about 15 days sicky last year. Actually, that's not true. I had less than 12 but our place only counts full days. So even if I booked half a day, they say I was sicky all day. Hence why I don;t want to book sicky. Luckily my manager is in on it
Are you one to determine what colour the is before it is ready or do you prefer the surprise?
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
I see your point... I suppose the temptation to do more if you think it doesn't hurt could result in a more painful back....
I hate surprises.... I like to be able to plan things and I like planning stuff too from a practical point of view I can buy everything in advance or be really happy because I already have everything from the first baking!
And if you think about it, the suprise only lasts for a little while, during the time you are informing everyone the colour of the , then its like...
S*it..... my cupcake will be in yellow, white or green icing for the next 3 months while we sort out the icing of the cupcake storage...
(stop me if this gets confusing )
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
no, no, fully understandable. And you you never know, it might end up being a and not a at all Sorry, non-PC joke there!
Definitly just one though? Have you told current ?
Hallo old Boy!

My brother is Gay I'll have to tell him that one, he'll wet himself!
Weeeelllll, we're not sure if its only 1 will definately be confirmed on August 13th, so cross your fingers that it is a single baking experience!
Yep knows bless him, very excited indeed
Don't know if he'll be all that excited if the wakes him up though
I had another idea about your back..... you could find someone to carry you about all day, preferably on some kind of throne... That might ease the aching
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
ah, this'll be my first use of the smiley then!
Cool, think the hardest thing with the second is how it goes with the first . But I have found, from friends and sisters baking experiences I admit!, that allowing the 1st to feel they are assistant baker helps a lot. Although then you eventually get the problem with the second wanting to usurp the first as the deal of the day.
Oooh, it must be exciting for you! One of the things I hold the most respect for is those with a the responsibility of baking Probably because I have yet to find someone willing to let me anywhere near their kitchen (am I carrying this too far yet?) but financial success, power, peer group adulation, all these pale as nothing in my mind to the satisfaction and acheivement of creating (and I think that is the right word) a worthy and respected .
sermonising over
As for me back, well, thing is, I'm now fine providing I don;t sit down for too long. Or go to sleep!
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Aug 4, 2004
nope its very funny.....
now if I said 'why? are you no good in the kitchen?'...... that would be taking it too far...
Bless you, someone I'm sure will eventually be daft enough to let you lose at some point
Well my first will be nearly 7 when I've finished baking, so should have matured somewhat....*gulp* hopefully...
No need to use the smiley, my brother was in absolute fits!
Hows your back this week?
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Aug 4, 2004
backs still grumbling along there somewhere. Twinges everynow and then just to let me know
Glad your bro' found it funny
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Dec 8, 2004
no, backs fine these days (touch wood), although my neck is a bit sore at the moment. But then that could have something to do with going down the local rock club, drinking beer and ending up in the mush pit for a couple of hours. Oh well, was fun.
So you all set for christmas yet? I have bough 1.5 presents. Well, actually I haven;t, i've just gone in with other family memebers to buy joint presents. But that's more than i normally manage by now
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Dec 10, 2004
Good ol' mosh pits.... they keep our country chiropractors in Mercedes y'know
I've actually just about finished mine *smug grin* and the only people I haven't bought for I know what I'm getting them and it will only take a phone call!
I did cheat this year and very sadly started my shopping in September getting bits and pieces, and I've done an awful lot of my shopping on the internet! Good ol amazon has really come up trumps for me this year!
Are you taking leave during Christmas or are you going to humbug your way throughout the festive season?
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Dec 22, 2004
hello, all ready now are you? Hope so ! I finish work today so have 2 glorious days of freedom, 3 days ish of putting up with the family (which is not true, but only cos I get to see my niece and nephews) before another week off and then back to work next year (sounds so much better that way!).
So, all the shopping done and sitting at home with feet up and being molly coddled I hope?
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Dec 22, 2004
