Oh no, not a Genie on line again! Can Hootoo take the strain?
Glad to have you back a bit more permanently anyway!
I shall be attending the afternoon only again, work pressures unfortunately but I shall try and get to hyde park for midday to 2pm so I get a chance to socialise a bit!
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted May 18, 2004
well 'officialy' I'm online intermitantly....
I have been very good recently because its been so very quiet around.... I also have my laptop at home and just had broadband installed so I tend to be on in the evening now..
I'm hoping to make it to hyde park on time this year I'm sure I'll manage it if I aim to be there at 10am...
So can I interest you in the lovely cuppa I left here earlier? Its getting cold now!
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted May 19, 2004
Ah, yes, the cuppa . I've decided the best thing for it now is to use it as a biological experiment into the creation of simple life, is that ok? Or do you need the cup back?
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 28, 2004
Cup... what cup... Oh dear, obviously another example of me not keeping up with conversations....
Sorry..
I was actually lurking your page because no-one seems to be anywhere I want to be or talking about anything I would like to talk about...
Came accross this conversation and thought the title of the thread looked very friendly and inviting..... drawing me in to read it...
then I see it was my thread........
Why is everything so pants today? Are you getting the whole pants feeling? I might be loosing my marbles.... but the pants thing...big pants...
Hows the job going? Any more progress or updates?
(in case you hadn't notice, I'm in a rather bizarre mood.... )
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 28, 2004
hot pants?
Life just has a way of being like that. I am still unsure about my job, unsure on whent he house will be ready to put on the market. And my back is stillplaying up.
All good fun. Oh, but I got an entry accepted for the edited guide
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 28, 2004
So hairy pants for you too then?...
Ohhh congrats! was it the entry that you were talking about in your journal? I really had nothing intelligent to add to what you had already written.... Anyhooo congrats!!
Actually I've got some top secret gossip for you, but it really is top secret so shhhhhhhhh! I'll e-mail it to you...
..... providing I can remember the address that is....
oooooh nasty...Have you been to see a chiropractor about your back? nothing worse than a bad back... (except mabey falling off a cliff and catching your eyelid on a rusty nail)... I sypathise deeply
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 28, 2004
Nah, saw the doc last time I did it, muscle related. All me own fault I guess. lots of rest and it is slowly coming back. It's actually the deltoid muscles, classic sitting-at-a-desk too much type thing.
Gossip? Ooooh go on then!
email is ictoan at lycos dot co dot uk although I won't get it till later.
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 28, 2004
I will send it when I get home (in about 30 minutes, lucky me! <biggrin)
Might it be an idea to get down the gym and do your best Arnold Schwarzenegger impression? By that I mean some weights to help develop and strengthen the particular muscle giving you the grief
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
<tongueout.
I collapsed into a heap on the sofa when I got home, and pretty much stayed there apart from to eat dinner, visit the bathroom and then go to bed!
So I didn't have an opportunity to send the e-mail...
I'll give you a clue though....
If you think like me you'll get it!
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
Hmmm. You wanna be careful, my thought process can go off in all sorts of directions!
So, eh? An actual or is the mixture being cooked at the moment?
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
, yep mixture is being cooked...
I did think of all the wonderous things you could have come up with, and I'm slightly dissapointed that you got it first guess!
I should have posted a instead.....
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
Ah well, congrats on your baking. Well, I assume it is you that is doing the baking, you didn't explicitly state
Cupcake was either that or you were telling me how cute you are, which everyone already knows so hardly gossip
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
.....Watch your step over there! Wouldn't want you to slip over!
Yep, I'm doing the baking as per usual .... had a little tiny microscopic bit of help from my co-baker of course
Other than that, all my own work!
Hows you today?
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
carefuly now else you'll end up with a instead of a
Well I assumed you weren't trying to create a new religion of the holy
Me ok, just wish my back would STOP HURTING. Sorry. Nope, it wasn;t listening. Bunged some deep heat on it earlier, so the rest of the office probably loves me now
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
pheeeeeweeee!! *holds nose* that stuff is a bit ripe isn't it?
Completely on a tangent but I seem to remember seeing something where a young man applied deep heat to two nether regions located very close together.....He looked like he was in quite alot of pain... I'm amused by the orriblest things y'know!
What kind of pain is it? Is it a sharp pain when you move or one of those darstardly dull aches which throb all day giving you no peace?...
What about a massage? is there anyone that could give it a rub for you?
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
Oh yes, deep heat, or ralgex, to nether regions (or any sensitive skin) is not a good idea. One of the lads at my school who was on school army cadet camp and refused to wash himself had ralgex sprayed on his bits. He soon decided it would be better to wash
Pain is currently of the dull bloody annoying sort! Basically i strained the deltoid muscles. So have done the sharp painful bit, now onto the dull annoying bit!
Unfortunately no potential rubbees on the horizon.
A friend has suggested I call a woman he knows who does acupuncture and stuff. Although I am a bit dubious. Especially as she apparently works out the back room of a small town hairdressers. Methinks it might be one of his dodgy massage parlours
Not really, may give it a go, but its about 40 miles away or so, so a bit of a trek.
What about you, throwing up everywhere yet?
Hallo old Boy!
Genie Posted Jul 29, 2004
..... and you wouldn't want to be visiting one of those dodgy places would you...
Actually I've had 3 weeks of getting to see my food twice... I was in hospital last week for the best part of 3 days being rehydrated..... and not a decent looking doctor in the place!
Gosh 40 miles is a long way to go to get a rub! Mind you if it works then it will be worth it! You know if it continues badly for a long time you can go back to your doctor and be referred for some Physio... assistant baker is having physio on a knee that constantly aches, they found out that one of the ligaments which hold your knee cap in place (one either side), is underdeveloped and the kneecap was costantly being pulled towards the other side, putting a great strain on his joints...
Anyhoo, that could be an option, but in the meantime shouldn't you be resting so the strain heals at bit? *taps foot*
Hallo old Boy!
IctoanAWEWawi Posted Jul 29, 2004
one of *those* parlours would probably make my back worse, not better!
I went home early on fri with the pain, and stayed in bed through till wed morning so have had plenty of rest. Don;t want to take more time off y'see and have managed to swing it so that I haven;t had to book any sicky
Ah, are you one of the unlucky ones who has a bad time with cookery? My friends wife spent nearly all of her last time baking in hospital (I know I could lift the ruse, but it's fun ) Had a really bad time of it, yet others seem to sail through with no probs.
