As mentioned elsewhere I've taken to cycling to the station in the morning instead of walking. All going well and starting to think of getting a slightly better bike, maybe riding a bit in my spare time for exercise as well!
But I'm no speed freak on cycles it must be said. Then last night I caught some program on TV about cycles and their history, which showed a couple of Pashley cycles. Went looking at their webpage this morning and, hmmmmmmm. Not cheap. But then of the cycles outside the office I'm at none are under 500quid I think. But none have the character or style of:

or
http://www.pashley.co.uk/guvnor/
but I'm prob just dreaming! Not sure I'd leave something like that at the station. Also not sure I'd not just look a bit of pillock on one
But they do look nice...

Yes, those are nice. But what you really need is one of these:

Ooops, sorry. That picture's been going around the web but I couldn't remember where I'd seen it. That was the first one that came up on an image search.

Royal Mail use Pashleys. They take some beating - in more ways than one. But... you get what you pay for and Pashleys certainly seem to stand the test of hard use, 6 days a week, 4 (or more) hours a day, and often by someone in an incredible hurry to get home!!
