I've seen some of the Fast Show (someone gave me a DVD, and also I saw a bit while I was over there in 2003), and I didn't think it was all that funny. Those "suit you, sir" guys were especially irritating.

No it's clearly because it lacked Harry Enfield. I'm perfectly prepared to laugh my arse off to Paul Wighthouse provided he's stood next to the one and only guy funnier than himself

Ah yes, Harry Enfield - now there's a chap I never 'got' in any of his guises from Stavros/loadsmoney onwards.

Ah well each to their own. To be fair to the Fast Show - Ted and Ralph. Now _that_ was funny.

Mitchell and Webb are excellent
and there's another pair, danged if I can recall their names, but one of them always danced a formal dance with a fair maid while uttering the crudest comments when they came together ()
OK I'm off

I don't mind crudity if it's amusing - far too often it seems to me that the humour is lacking. Most sketch shows are patchy in quality; after watching one or two shows I usually get bored with the characters. I did like 'Smack the pony'.
Sitcoms also tend to pall quickly but rather strangely I did find 'Not going out' watchable.
Is there actually a story to Krod? (Haven't watched it yet)

ah, well, now they're showing Legend of the Seeker over in blighty Krod Mandoon makes a tad more sense. It is clearly a p take of Seeker and rather a good one. But strange they'd port it over to the UK before seeker and expect it to do well. Not that it was that bad, but you kinda needed to know seeker to follow it all the way I think.
The link was more in style and setting than the fairly generic story line (of both).

It's a tv series made in the USA. SciFi channel in the UK has just started (well, few weeks back) to show it and the link is obvious (to me anyway )
