In the beginning...

Well this should be interesting. It's a shame it took finding out that Douglas had died for me to find out about this, but sometimes that's how it goes. I really LOVE the idea though. This kind of information sharing in a semi-structured environment is exactly what the internet should be all about. My thinking is far more global since I started fooling around with the net than it ever was before. I've got friends in Manchester and Scotland and New Zealand and Tel Aviv and Toronto and all over the place. Before the net it was a big deal to have a friend across town. The world gets smaller and the days get shorter as I get older. The passing of Mr. Adams reminds us all of our own mortality and how important it is to have as much fun as you possibly can because the end, when it comes, may not call ahead for an appointment.
