Thank you for your nominations for the H2G2 Academy awards. As you may or may not know each year I ask those whose take part to write a short presntation for one of the awards. If you would like to do this please respond and I will get back to you with what I need.

I could try. You might have to give me a long heads up I float around here less frequently these days, but I would certainly give it a shot.

I can give you the nominees for a chosen category nex week. Best Actor, Actress and Directo have all been taken already though. And as usual I'll do the Lifetiem acheivement.

All I need though is a description of your dress clothes for the gala. Then a witty introduction possibly incorporating the nominees up to and the winner is or similar (which I'll insert).

Exclamations or reactions from you for potential winners can be included I'll select the appropriate ones.

Get it done by 29 February and you're a star.

Right i'm going to have to go and worry about what to wear then. Didn't tell me that before, did you?

Something inflamable in purple to match the complexion of your scales should be sufficient.

I hope this is soon enough, the computer broke on me before the weekend. Sorry sorry sorry.

I have opted to appear in a full length dress of dark green silk complemented by a purple and black feather boa.

There are two key components of film that assult our senses. The way it sounds and the way it looks. This is the award for Technical Visual Achievement and it celebrates those films that have stunned us with their manipulation of the visual asthetic in ways that we have not experienced before. The merging of techniques new and old; the invisible integration of computer imagery; and above all the ability to stick all the images together to make the audience's jaws drop.

Each of the films nominated have managed to show us new images that have left our eyes reeling from sensory overload for days afterwards. From the fine detail of Finding Nemo, to the expansive scope of the world of the Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King; from the dexterity in style of Kill Bill Volume 1, to the perfectly realised single claustrophobic setting of Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World.

And the winner is ....
